First, let me start off by saying that OnOne Software is running a special until September 30th, only 2 days! $99 for any Photoshop Plug-in. I’ve been using PhotoTools FREE for a short time, and have fallen in love with 2 filters so far. The program usually costs $260, so this is a huge savings.
For the Fort Mifflin series, I decided to work with the cameras auto white balance setting. I tend to like my images on the warmer side and the warming filter in PhotoTools 2.5 is amazing. The next filter I love is the bleaching filter. It allows me to add contrast while desaturating the color. It actually looks as if your image has been bleached, and the contrast adds a dark cinematic effect.
While in the Citadel, there was a designated area to stand and view the space. I couldn’t resist after seeing this ladder leaning up against the wall, and since nobody was there to stop me, I went right under the railing and quietly bracketed 9 exposures.
It’s really great to have PhotoTools available to give your images a unique feel. It may be something you’ve been trying to achieve all along visually, but you were lacking the right tools. PhotoTools can bring your vision full circle. I can’t wait to dive deeper and see what else this program has to offer.
