Wurlitzer

It’s always a breath of fresh air (no pun intended) when exploring an abandoned hospital facility with a fellow explorer who has connections. Immediately after arriving at this building, we were approached by security. After giving the names of some county officials whom my friend Darryl knows and does photography for we were left alone to explore. Thanks Darryl!

This facility was fun to explore but honestly, not a home run in my opinion. Darryl showed me this old Wurlitzer Organ that I just had to frame up! It’s been a couple of weeks since I processed some grungy Urbex and after updating to Lion OS X 10.7, unfortunately my system crashed within PhotoTools twice! Very frustrating because I had to force a power down and reboot! The old saying goes, if it’s not broke don’t fix it! I hate updates, there is always something that will likely go wrong or become incompatible. Hopefully the kinks will be worked out ASAP!

While accessing this buildings interior we heard rushing water. Some of the pipes had burst and flooded out and area that we walked through to get to the back of the complex. Mostly all of the faucets has been turned on and the knobs were broken off. Gotta love kids with nothing better to do! I say kids because somehow they transported skateboard ramps into this place and trashed it over the summer!
